Thousands are protesting in Spain right now against government and corporate corruption and the two-party system, and there are only five news outlets covering it, the largest one being Global Voices. Why? Well, the Spanish protesting against the very type of people who run the major news outlets, so there's no real advantage for them to report on it. Since when did the news become a 1984-esque selective system that only tells the truth when it's beneficial to the people at the top?
